Default Spring Cleaning Practice Cook

Hey all, we had a big BBQ weekend.

It was time for spring cleaning and opening the lake place. I quickly had family members volunteering to clean and pressure wash if I would cook some bbq. Well I couldn’t turn down a deal like that!!!

I decided to turn it into a mini competition practice. I brought pepper (BKCG #2) up from the house for more grill space. This is the 1st time of cooked with both grills.

We cooked a 13lb brisket w/burnt ends, 8lb butt, 3 slabs of spare ribs, 15 chicken thighs and a can of spam just because LoL For a comp. I would probably come close to doubling this. Making sauces, injections and trimming meat took two evenings of prep before the weekend.

We still need a bit more practice, but this was a lot of fun juggling the grill space and times to put it all on the table at once. The timing came out dead on and the grills worked great.

Here are a few pics!

Thanks,
Boat

I think you're looking at the Bloomin Spam! Just a can of Spam cut up. It opens as it cooks and as it does sprinkle w/rub and maple surup. Makes a great snack. I think I saw it here 1st on one of Cowgirls posts..

I really like my Bubba's. They cook great and travel very well. They have a new model out for this year. The new name is "The Big Steel Keg"!
