Default 10 Pound Pork Butt on Mini WSM - Cast Iron Pizza - With Pron

Smoked a 10 pounder this weekend that I got for $10 at the local grocery store. I rubbed it down with a mixture of Gordon's Dry Rub and Plowboys Yardbird rub. Put it on the mini wsm at about 8:30 in the morning and pulled it around 6:45 pm. When it got to 190 I started probing, but it still wasn't as tender as I wanted so I let it go for another hour or so. Once it got up to around 202 is when it probed liked butter. I pulled it, wrapped it in foil and towels and put it in the cooler for another hour or so. It was probably one of the best ones I have cooked. Great bark. Great flavor, even without sauce. My wife doesn't love bbq but she loved this pulled pork. Pron is below.

After it came off the smoker and before the cooler

After resting...

While it was cooking I grilled a pizza in a cast iron skillet on the weber kettle. It was my first attempt at grilling a pizza. The topping was good but I burned the bottom.

Thanks for looking.

Everything looks great man. As for burning the bottom of the pizza. Try putting some firebricks on the grate and place your skillet on top of that.

In the end it will be okay.
And if it's not okay, it's not the end.

I love my mini. Amazing what you can do with one and your butt is a good example. Well done (no pun intended. )
