I'm thinking a charcoal-burner, so I'm not constantly tending a fire -(my PBC has spoiled me that way..) Also want to be able to grill with it. I may purchase an extra sheet of 1/4 or 3/8 flat as well. This will be a winter project done in my spare time at work. It will need to be easily rolled onto a trailer. (Think - Big pneumatic tires on it)

What about a hexagonal-shaped reverse-flow with a charcoal grill on the back side for steaks and burgers? (Or something dual-purpose...Patio-sized...)

Yip, that would work just fine. Use the firebox as the grill. Awesome design.

Great idea there, you have enough metal to definitely build a cooker that would hold a nice sized pig.

Anybody have some more pics of the over/under and maybe a sketch or three? I'd like to see how the opening is set up between the firebox and the cooking chamber.

They only get in 2 at a time and they sell pretty fast - I'll try to get more pics if/ when they get more in.

That would be great - I'm really interested in the construction details. This will be a winter "government project" herre at work, and it'll get fired up in the spring when my g/f and I move in to a house together.

Been checking out the pics of the Over-n-Under - I'm thinking the cook chamber is going to be 24x48" - Or is that too big?

Inside FB

Inside Cook Chamber

On the cook chamber side there is a series of holes that are covered with an angled plate ( the one that looks grey in 3rd pic) in cook chamber forming a 3/8" or so slit all way across at bottom. If the angled plate wasn't there you could pass something thru hole into the cook chamber as the two chambers share this one wall
