Commercial Rub for Smoking Wings?
I want to smoke 10lbs of wings for the game tomorrow and was wondering what commercial rub would you guys use. I have available Texas BBQ, some Big Ron's in the House and Yardbird. Welcome any comments.

My family (and everyone I have ever served them to) loves these chili-lime wings on the smoker. We cook 10lbs at a time and freeze what we don't eat.

I have only used yardbird out of the ones you listed but I would go with it. If you are making hot wings I would add some cayenne to up the heat. I usually use SM sweet and spicy with a little cayenne and then sauce the wings with blues hog. I like those as good or better then hot wings.

The rub I recommend for wings, and the only rub I use on my wings is Weber's Kickin' Chicken. You can find it nearly anywhere :P
It's so good, I don't even bother looking for a non-commercial rub for my wings.

This is my favorite for wings, with Yardbird right behind it. Kickin Chicken on wings is awesome though, give it a shot for sure.

Been doing blackened wings the past couple of times, using this stuff:
rub with this and put in a ziplock with a drizzle of evoo, in the frig. a couple hours. Sprinkle on a little more before smoking.

My choice would be Yardbird (regardless of what you have on hand ). I grilled some chicken breasts to use on a salad last night and use Yardbird and they came out great! If you want more heat just add some cayenne or chipotle powder.

Call me crazy, but when I do wings i keep it real simple and go with this:
Then dust 'em real good with some cayenne pepper, put some smoke on them, then crisp up on the grill. Like i said, very simple, generic, but they seem to disappear quickly.

e-High-Five! I toss mine in olive oil and a heavy dose of kicken chicken, then smoke with apple wood. Then a quick toss in some garlic buffalo sauce and done.

I really like the Kickin Chicken, and have used it for years on chix, ribs and steaks (along with other seasonings).
On your UDS cookers, what temp do you use and how long does it normally take? On a grill I just cook em till they're done, but with the UDS I don't want to keep pulling the lid off to check. I just need a general idea as a starting point of when to make the first check.

Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning
If you like more kick, his More Spice is great too!
