So I mentioned that I wanted to get a dedicated smoker to my wife earlier this year and she offered to order one for me for my birthday.

Excited as all get-out...just waiting for the weather to improve as I do not have room in my shed to store it at this time....probably going to order for April.

You'll love the WSM! My wife bought me another 18.5 WSM for an early Birthday present. Best wife ever! ;)

There is nothing kinky about letting a new WSM sleep in the bedroom until early spring.

Quoth he who lives in the land of sun and the week-long winter.

If I'd have my way I'd order it now and keep it inside until I was fairly confident that winter be over...

That said, my kettle is currently tucked away too...I can wait a month...just gives me that much more time to continue developing my "to smoke" list and amassing various rubs and sauces.

I am surprised there is very little competition to the WSM 22. Napoleon makes a 20" smoker but no other companies. Does the UDS option deter Brinkmann or others in making a 22" smoker?
