Default Introducing...Tin Lizzie

I decided that it was time for me to build a UDS, so with the go ahead from the woman in charge, I did just that.
Took it to work to drill the holes.
The burn out.
Sanded down and shiny.
Primed and ready.
Ordered blades online and paid to have them welded on.
"Tin Lizzy" in all her glory.
First cook (fatty came off first and forgot to upload pic) using lump and hickory chunks, and held temps at 225-230 until I opened lid to wrap, and then got up to 250-ish. All in all, very satisfied with the performance and can't wait until the next cook.

Sweet. Looks like you did a bang up job.

What do you think of the intakes? I've pondered over them. I don't think I'm done building UDS's- might be an option.

So far, so good. After a few more cooks, I will be able to better evaluate the set up.

Sorry, but you did not build a UDS.

Thanks. Once my wife gave me the go ahead, I couldn't insult her with anything else. Besides, it will make it easier to build the next one

I have pretty much no need for a Drum Smoker, but that doesn't keep me from wanting one.

Looks good Ron.

Same style of intake that I have. I can maintain about 285° with one about half open. Full throttle is north of 350°...I have another 2 on the drum that I haven't opened yet.
