You gonna send me one? 2,500 is a little rich for me... I like BBQ and I smoke a bunch a year, but I would need to smoke multiple times a year to justify that amount... :)

I used to use my WSM a wind screen and a lot of charcoal, now it's my Akorn and about the same amount of lump that I use in the summer.

Ditto. I use a BBQ Guru smoking jacket on the WSM in the winter and have found that it helps maintain temps with moderate fuel consumption especially when its blowing...

smoking jacket for the WSM is a good call. Welding blankets are great for lots of smokers..UDS, WSM etc... Stay under cover if possible. i.e garage or shed.

My son has a char-griller and he smokes every New Years day. Biggest problem is the wind. He uses plywood for a wind brake and a blanket to cover it up , but he said it takes a lot more wood to keep the temperature right. I know that not everyone can afford a pitmaker but they are a fine piece of workmanship. I have had my safe (retirement gift for myself) for about a year now and love it. Cold Wisconsin winters is one reason why I went with them.

I use my drum smokers here in NJ all winter long. Nothing like some good BBQ while it's snowing out...

I pretty well stick to my bsk during the winter. Handles it like a champ. I keep an eye on everything via the stoker, inside where it's nice a warm.

BGE for me. I got mine in the winter and probably use it as much in the winter as I do in the summer since I'm around more in the winter.
