Despite the rumors you may have heard about the Fountains contest in Independence, MO being cancelled this year, I just got confirmation from the new organizer that it is indeed on for October 14-15. Details are on the KCBS site.
As a judge the unique setting of this contest (inside a retirement home) makes it far and away my favorite and from what I've heard it has a great reputation with the cooks as well. I was really happy to hear that the event is continuing on so I figured I'd share the news for those of you that may also have been wondering about the status. Hope to see you there!
