I've search the site and there does not seem to be a whole lot of information on/following for Engelbrecht grills.

They seem pretty versatile to me with the offset fire box, ability to use wood or charcoal either in the firebox or grill, the adjustable height grate...

I know they are pricey but seem to be a quality product.

What am I missing?

I have a 18.5 WSM and a PBC and was thinking this would be a solid addition.

Your insights are much appreciated.

Well, I for one never heard of them until you posted, but I have to say, I like their Braten Campfire Grill!!!

In fact, for $259.00 and a 24" x 30" grate size, it seems like a no brainer to me and it's going on my wish list. Heck, I'd build a fire pit just to have for this.

Guerry, Cowgirl's firepit and this campfire grill gave me the inspiration for my build. You would really like one, great for tri tip & spatchcocked birds.

I've had my eye on this for awhile myself. Was thinking of building a cinder block pit/base with this on top. Funny this topic came up because I was just looking at Santa Maria grills.

My brother in law told me about these about a year ago. They look really cool and well built.

I thought the same thing but I can't find anybody who uses one...I find that weird

Me too. When he told me this was what he wanted, I had no idea what he was talking about. After I looked them up, I was certainly intrigued, but I spend a lot of time on here and other bbq sites, and had never heard of them. In case they are reading this, I would be glad to try on out and get the word out to the BBQ community :-D

Last winter I was in search of a Santa Maria Style grill. I looked at the Engelbrecht Grills but along the way found

After looking hard at both I went with one from Arizona BBQ Outfitters and so far I love it (but have only been using it about two weeks). I've also been very impressed with his customer service and attention to detail.

He doesn't have a drop in grill like the Braten Campfire but you might want to check out some of his grills.

They don't have anything like the campfire grills though. All of these are complete packages.
