Default BBQ Brisket on Craigslist!

Saw this on the Seattle board

http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/for/1536348097.html

Got any questions for the seller?

Lets see - 3# $15.00 = $5.00 per lb.

But, if I buy a Whole Brisket it's $12.00 per lb.

Makes good sense to me. Think I'll order some.

Now there's a DA.

I think he said 3 lb minimum at $15/lb, whole thing for $12/lb...that's over $100 for a whole brisket!

You guys laugh but if this person can get get the price they're asking for, they're the ones who'll be laughing...all the way to the bank!

And it doesn't matter how good or bad it is if people are buying it. Remember, even bad barbeque is somebody's favorite!

Mom said local restaurant in her home town charges rates similar to that.

I think she said a whole brisket was going for about $100 or so.

I've also been known to get $30 for a $10 turkey (and I've seen folks on internet saying they get more than that for their birds)

C'mon you guys can we really put a price on beauty? On art? On smoking? I'd say double the price - it's worth it!!

Beef brisket - $1.50/lb; Grandma's secret rub - $.50/lb; wood chunks - $free99; the joy of smoking your brisket on a UDS and charging a sucker who can't boil water $12/lb - PRICELESS.
