Not cooking, but Carole and I are supposed to be judging. I haven't heard a peep -- hope they get enough teams to make the event happen. This is the first year they have held the event under the KCBS banner.

Nice event at Conroe, TX. Great location; nice people; well organized for a first KCBS event. Fun for the judges -- Kids Q, Beans, Chef's Choice, Dessert, plus the comp meats. Hot outside on the cooks, but at least there were some clouds and a breeze. I was told they are moving this event to June next year, so it should be more temperate. Kudos to Fat Boys BBQ for their GC. They have been doing well.
