My inspiration was Zippylip's post in October - http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=172596

Sorry these are on their side - it does that when I use my iPhone for pictures.. even if they look right in Photobucket..

I used my 8quart DO

The Players..

Mushrooms, spinach, and some Italian sausage I cooked last weekend while I was going a pork shoulder. So this is BBQ now right??

First layer of dough..

Italian Sausage and some cheese...

Next layer - spinach sautéed in garlic... and ah... more cheese..

Then another layer of dough and some pepperoni and.. cheese..

More dough and the final layer - sautéed mushrooms and onions..

I put a top layer of dough on and lidded this. Into the oven @ 400 degrees for about 45 minutes or so.
Took it out and let it rest about 20 minutes.

Couldn't get the whole thing out like Zippylip did, but this is what it looked like plated...

It looks like a hot mess, but it was pretty tasty.

That looks mighty fine. I am going to have to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Sooooo can I have some for breakfast please..........cold is fine :becky:

a hot mess is a tasty mess, the mushrooms were a great addition. As for removal, I think the difference was low moisture on the one I did, no sauce between the layers, low moisture mozzarella rather than fresh, and well rung out spinach... of course this made the final pie on the drier side but did help it hold together. Either way it's beautiful

Looks like a oooey gooey lasagna, but it is pizza. My mind is blown.
