is tapatalk not working?

im using tapatalk 1 and it hasnt connected to the forum all weekend?

This was posted earlier this morning in the Techie section (that's where all technical question should be posted).

Phil updated the moderator team on what's going on.
Tapatalk may be incompatible with a new anti-spam system Phil bought and installed. He has already engaged Tapatalk's support crew and he's waiting on their response.

The Brethren board has been recently placed on someone's spam list, Phil thinks, because we've been hit by a couple of thousand spam attempts (posing as new members) in the last week.

Before he bought the new software he had to go through a few hundred new member submissions, one by one, to screen out the spammers. Can you imagine the time it would take?

So, rather than close the board off to new members, he bought software - which is working. In the first three days it was running it blocked 1300 spammer log-ins.

So, if you would, wait while Phil works with the Tapatalk folks on getting this fixed. We're sorry for the disruption.
