rebel smokers
Hey guys. What can you tell me about rebel smokers? They look like they are screwed together instead of welded. If that is true wouldn't that allow moisture to get between the outer and inner metal? Is the charcoal shoot made of thick steel? Thanks for the info you can give. Eric

I will tell you I bought a Rebel 23 and am completely satisfied. You will see screws holding the skin on but is welded otherwise. It is a wonderful smoker for the money.

We (pitmasterIQ BBQ) switched to a Rebel 28 at the beginning of last season and doubled our awards for the year. It's a great cooker. Firebox walls are 1/2" steel. It may be screwed together, but it's painted after assembly, and the thick paint appears to seal it up well. It allowed us to stop thinking about the cooker so much and focus on perfecting taste and tenderness.
