Default 4 drumettes 4 different rubs

My order from Big poppa smokers came in. Simply Marvelous Spicy Apple, Sweet and Spicy, Sweet Seduction. The other was my normal go to Yardbird. I applied one rub per drumette under the skin and over the skin cooked at 325-350 with hickory smoke on my Stumps Baby. These are just my personal results.
#1 SM Sweet Seduction. Very sweet and smooth, if i wanted some heat I would change it out for #2. I could not taste an increase when used as a finishing powder.
#2 Sweet & Spicy as the name implies, starts very sweet and a slow low heat rolls in to finish. Wife did not like the heat.
#3 Yardbird: Very good no heat at all, my usual go to chicken rub
#4 SM Spicy Apple strong apple taste up front and a little heat at the very end. This rub is intensified a lot when using it as a finishing powder.

Sorry no porn, was to excited to sit down and taste test, also apple products screw up my photos when trying to upload.

Thanks for posting your take on those. I've always make my own rub, bit if I ordered one of those, you just sold me on Sweet & Spicy.

I like the Sweet and Spicy -- my wife loves some heat from the various rubs. Neither of us are big fans of the apple rub though.

Sounds like fun. I like side by side tests. I would have added a fifth drumette and done it either plain or S&P so you have a baseline by which to judge the rubs.

Maybe you should plan another test.
