Default Flautas de pollo on the Mini....

Hopefully you guys and gals like this thread. Something different than the usual stuff.

Seasoned our chicken with webers seasoning.

Put it on the mini with no heat diffuser. A mix of lump and charcoal.

Got the mini to 275 and while cooking it would spike to 300. Smelled amazing.

Almost done

After it was done and rested. We pulled the chicken.

Of to the CI

Made a lot. We had my brothers in law and sister in law visiting.

Plated and ready to eat.

Thanks for looking.
Tony and Maribel.

Here's a Instagram video. Can you guys tell me if you see the video. Some of you guys have told it doesn't play. Thank you. If it doesn't work I will stop adding the link.

Ah, jeez. Two things I've never done. Spatchcock a bird, and make flautas. You make it look so easy. The rice, too, looks amazing! How was that prepared?

1 cup of rice.
Add oil to a pot and fry the rice until it get golden brown.

Then add 1 1/2 cups of water and 8 oz of tomato sauce and bring to a boil.

Then add 1 tbs of knorr chiken broth ( powder type )

Then add 1 tsp of salt. Taste the liquid and determine if more salt is needed.
Optional 1 tbs of onion powder.

Set it to low for about 20-30 min. Start checking if done about 20 min in.

When done leave it alone for 15 min then you can eat.
