Yes. Unlike many professional sports, BBQ (and poker) let's you jump run in and run with the big boys. Hudson Valley was getting too big, so they are capping the number of teams at 50 this year. Check with the organizer to see if there is still room. If there is, pay your entry fee and jump in.
Oh, and bring a fly swatter. Maybe two.
