Planes, Trains, and Barbecue Tavares, FL May 30-31, 2008
ROAD TRIP The Florida Barbecue Association This will be the weekend before our niece graduates from high school.... so, I am going to try to make it a busy weekend. Monday - Wednesday -- work...NOT Thursday -- drive 585 miles Friday and Saturday -- comp. Sunday -- travel Monday -- graduation Tuesday -- drive 650 miles home Wednesday -- go back to work??? NOT.... This event is the town next to where I grew up.... should be interesting. I can stay at my brother place, and then spend some time with both families. I will probably make at least a week and a half out of it. WOW... double whammie.... just looked. Pigs in the Park is May 16-17th, 2 weeks before this one... could be a busy month of May....I will see when they send me the info. They have no website listed, just a contact person.

We did this event last year. Had a good time. Nice area next to a large lake. We got lucky and were under one of the many large trees. We did not vend.
