Default Tri Tip Rub! What do you recomend?

Found out tonight that Tri Tips are on the menu for the 4th of July. Any advice on rubs would be appreciated!

Awesome! Check out The Rub Company's Santa Maria Style rub. If you can't get that then garlic salt and pepper do pretty darn good.

The Rub Co is very good, and I like Susie Q's also.

Having recently reviewed it, Oakridge BBQ's Santa Maria Steak Seasoning
is a great choice. It has a wonderful fresh garlicy flavor with a nice kick.

+ 1 more for garlic, salt and pepper. Sometimes the simpler the better.

Inexpensive Tequila and steak seasoning (garlic, pepper, salt, celery seed).
Not really a rub I guess more of a marinade although it does not seem to matter if you are short of time.

I go with 3 tsp of kosher salt, two tsp each of garlic powder, coarse grind pepper and dried parsley per tri-tip. Basically a Santa Maria rub.
