I dropped my iPad while taking pictures of my spare rib Q.

After eating and talking about the results, my wife notices the broken iPad when taking it out of the case. She then goes into the American Express "Priceless" routine. Nothing like $600 ribs!

It may be a while before I live this one down.

(The iPad glass is only broken on three corners so I can still use it, maybe she will be the one to drop it when it is finished off.)

I recommend the Otterbox case for the ipad. my daughter has dropped hers a few times and not a scratch.

Speaking of American Express, if you would have used it to purchase the ipad, they would have replaced it. Saved me a few times.

Check on eBay, they are quite a few places that will replace your screen, runs around $100.00 give or take. Also check your local Craig's list, sometimes they are on there and can replace the screen while you wait....just some FYI

Radio Shack has a 72 hour turnaround on I-pod's, I-pads and cell phones screen repairs. I have not used their service so can't answer to the quality or speed but it is available there.

Thanks everyone, I will definitely check into the screen repair suggestions.

As far as the cover, I have one. Unfortunately, I can't play the Ricky Carmichael MX game with it on.

As the saying goes, "ya can't fix..." You get the picture.
