Whoooo Hooooo dang Ima feelen like a full blown Brethren :becky:. Yes friends and fiends it finally happened Ima Drum Head. No real pron of the build, it just took forever. Dear friend of mine helped me get the drum, the burn and the pipes welded in. He also built the fire basket. It was an interesting process to say the least. The funniest part (for me)was he didn't have a step bit or appropriate sized bit for the intakes so he just used his cutting torch then weld the nips in.
He dropped it off at my place late last Thursday and on Saturday I installed the grates and gave it a test fire. All three vents open I brought her up to 425. Then cooled her down to 250 and threw on a plain fatty and some country ribs. Had to cook something. The bigger cook was planned for today.
Found out my lids isn't tight enough as 14 hours later the drum was at 150 with everything shut down. I'll be tightening it up soon. :blah: Learning curve has started

So here is what I consider my inaugural cook, with a throw down entry in it. A little of everything. ABT's, MOINKS, SPAM, Chicken legs and a sausage fatty. (I'm full for now )
