Default Yesterdays Smoke

So as an end of season thank you to all the empoyee's at the shop here we decided to invite our people to a Cookout ofter hours.

I did 14 pounds of pulled pork. I kept it simple. Rubbed it. Foiled with AJ. Smoked with Cherry wood on my Cajun Bandit.

The smell drove everyone mad as I smoked it here at the shop. It was done a little early so I wrapped a coolered it.

Now I told you that so that I could tell you this...

After the Pork was finished up I took my cast Iron Pan tossed in some butter and Brown Sugar... dropped in some pineapple rings and cherries... topped with a white cake mix put the top on and let it go.

No sooner had I put the top on the Cajun Bandit... The crowed showed up.

So I fired up a OTG and started grilling up the burgers and dogs. Everyone asked what was on the other one... Not one person believed me that I when I told them cake! I even got a couple of these ->

It was simply one of those days when everything came together perfectly. The cake was a hit. I was asked by a friends daughter to cook for her graduation party. Now that was the ultimate compliment.
