Default Official Name change

We are no longer competing under the Ocean County Pig Assassins. We will now be competing under Jacked Up BBQ. We will always remember our original name and keep it alive, but for vending reasons we have decided to go with one name. So if you see Jacked Up BBQ on the comp list that is us! We will be notifying all of the organizers and organizations that we already signed up for under the old name. See you on the circuit!

Not only that, but it would be a much shorter banner.

Thats always been their vending name. Makes sense to compete under that name too so when they walk away with all the trophies again this year, prospective customers associate the vendor with the winner.

matt, you want to change your handle here too? It changes just the name, all stats remain.

The Jack will still recognize you as your old name. Twyford BBQ had to compete under his old banner of Ulcer Acres, as that was the name when he won the qualifying contest...

Good choice, Matt.

I was updating the team name listings this morning so I added Jacked Up BBQ to the list. I also left the old name in there with a note that you are now Jacked Up BBQ.

If I could change the handle that would be great.

Best wishes on the new name and ventures. Understand the need for change, but still love OCPA.

Ocean County has fond memories for me, Tradewinds Club, Murphy's Law, Tsunami's, Ft. Monmouth, and crashing the leave piles on the side of the road, in the fall.

It makes a diff with NEBS ToY too... since NEBS season runs from the day after the Harpoon Grilling on Sunday until the next year's Harpoon Grilling, not the calendar year.

I'll find out about that asap for ya Matt...

Maybe......jus' a few times.

I used to bounce at the Tradewinds Club, was fun! The police would park across the street from us, and when I left the door, they knew someone was getting "escorted" out. They would pull up, just as I threw them out over the stairs and would land right in front of them. One jerk actually tried to get them to arrest me, for assault.

Murphy's Law was my place of choice. One day I got a call from my team leader, telling me he was at the club with some new friends, then the lead singer from Gorky Park got on the phone and in broken English, and alot of Russian, told me to get my a$$ down there pronto, they were doing a no notice concert that night.

Funny thing, don't remember the concert very much, I dunno why..............
