I recently built this smoker out of a old air compressor and it has turned out pretty good. Done a rack of ribs on it tonight. Last week did 5 butts on it.

Must be tough to move that thing around. I bet you had fun building it, though! How does it cook? Does it hold temps well?

I move it with a Toro Dingo, I had my moments with the build but it was fun, It cooks great and holds temp really well. I did 2 butts on it and only used about 10 or 12 sticks of pecan in an 8hr period.

Thats a real big firebox for the size of the tank. I bet you can get some real high temps in there of you want. No doubt this is why it seems as efficient as you've mentioned. Nice work!

Cheers!

The box is 16" wide, 16" deep, 22" high. It was meant to be 22wide 16 deep 16 high, but I think I like this better. It seems to keep the flame away from the cooking area. this was the temp during the burn out.:thumb:
