This is a GEM. Hands down some of the best Q I have ever tasted. Brisket is very good, every bit as good as la bbq, and franklins. Wow wow wow.

Have you tried this place in Benson http://theredneckbbqlab.com/ ?

Comp team of the year a couple of years ago and doing well this year too. Some great brisket and good Q

No, I haven't tried it, but it was recommended to me. It is way out of my way, but I might have to give it a try this December. Thanks for reminding me.

Gore, def go to Redneck BBQ Lab. I didn't know they closed Memphis BBQ in Fayetteville. Sad to hear that. Which areas of NC are you in when you go through?

I had worked remotely in the triangle, but that ended some years ago. I was making a trip every 2-3 weeks. I make it down now about once a year. My daughter is in school in Columbia, so I mainly end up driving through now 2-3 times per year. Depending on traffic and when I remember to make my turnoff, I'll go through Durham and stop at Q-Shack or I'll run down 95 through Fayettesville. Last time was in August and that's when I found out that Memphis BBQ was gone.
