Hello,
I live in central Iowa and found this website a couple of days ago . And to be honest with you guys,I thought that grilling and Q was the same thing.There is a difference right ?
Been looking through the UDS thread and I am only on page 56 , man it is interesting and I am going to build one hopefully this weekend.
Did you guys know that is a long thread ? :-D

Welcome to the asylum, Raz! Yes, there is a difference between BBQ and grilling. BBQ is cooked slowly at low temps, usually over indirect heat and grilling is cooked faster over direct heat.

BTW, every year as a kid my summer vacation was a trip to central Iowa, Melcher to be exact, that's where my mother grew up. Was fortunate enough to go back a month ago for a family reunion and watch the Ankeny Hawks beat up on Indianola. My cousin has been the football coach at Ankeny for 40 years now.:biggrin:
