Hard to describe, kind of like mashed potatoes if it were very fibrous. Yucca is very fibrous, very very! The usual way to cook it is by trimming off the brown skin and cutting it into manageable chunks and boiling it for about 20 minutes till its soft. You'd plate it and throw some butter on it. Very good for breakfast, as it's very filling. I suggest you try it that way for the first time. Grilled it's much drier. You can boil it first, then sear it on the grill or fry it on a skillet with oil which is phenomenal as well.
