Default Vinegar Uses

My wife and I were discissing how many different applications for vinegar we could think about. It was really amazing when you think about it. We use it in bbq, cleaning tile and concrete, coffee pots, salad dressings, clean glass, tenderizer, pickles, oh, and the female thing, etc. We do great things with bbq but just was thinking about how all the uses this product has. Just thinking folk.

Vinegar can be used to clean pennies. Remember the old days when you could easily find a pocket full of wheat pennies? I used to use vinegar or Texas Pete (which contains a lot of vinegar) to clean them.

Mix it with some baking soda and it works great as a euthanasia device for ailing small pets.

Well the water is so hard here in my neighborhood, that if I wash my car and do not get it dried off fast it leaves white Hard water spots. Did it once with a dark blue Ford and did not dry it off and had to wash the whole damn thing in Vinegar. I smelled like a big pickle.

I use a leaf blower to dry the cars/bike to cut down the spots on them.

It helps eliminate strong cooking odors that linger. Simmer some vinegar in an uncovered pot for about 20 minutes and the odors are pretty much gone.
Great for cleaning hardwood floors too.

When my kids were very small, we kept a small spray bottle of cider vinegar around.

If the kids got lippy, the got a spray of "sassy juice" in the mouth.

Effective.

If you have lime build up crud around your faucet, wrap a couple paper towels around the faucet that have been dipped in white vinegar.
Come back an hour later or a little more and that lime crud will come off so easy. May need a second application for areas that have high
lime deposits in the water, but still so much easier than scrubbing.

Also...

This year I learned that the 9% solutions can be put in a spray bottle and used to kill weeds organically. Less need for nasty chemicals.
Garden centers sell a 20% acid that will darn near kill anything. In a couple of days after a rain or a watering the soil leaches out the acid.
I keep a spray bottle of it, and when the weeds pop up between the sidewalk plates, just spray. Next day they are withered and dead.

This does work, though be careful if you have live house plants! I did this in the spring and the vinegar vapors killed off a lot of my tomato seedlings that I had started in the house. It gassed them dead!

My mom used to put a capful in the clothes washer when on the rinse cycle. She said it helped to get all of the soap out of the clothes.

Also when I was a kid I asked my mom why my sisters washed their hair with vinegar cuz there was always a bottle in the shower. She didn't answer me. Then when I got older I found out why. haha.
