Default best brisket to date!

I did a brisket last night and here it is, I took Trucky's advice and did the fat side down, I used mustard for the glue and "the slabs" rub. I did let the rub stay on the brisket overnight before smoking it.

I also did some ribs, I really didn't feel like messing up my clean smoker and just keep it clean so I used foil under the ribs, I will not ever do that again!, they sucked, just blew 26.00 on the slabs, oh well they will make good beans soon.

my future bbq team mate already taking pictures for pron!!

my little buddy helping!!

here is one rack, looks great, just don't turn it over

I don't know if you can tell but it was very juicy, very good, perfect!

thanks for looking

Very nice looking briskie!

Since I cook outside about 2-3 times/month, my kids are all used to seeing me do it. They increasingly ask questions about it, and want to be involved, and I really enjoy that aspect of it. Example: explaining to my 11-year old daughter why I use a 2-zone fire on my kettle when cooking burgers and such.

Very nice looking brisket. I love Slab's Rub. Did you cook a flat, or packer?
