I do a modified version but i put 1 1/2 #10 cans in a full size pan (along with all the other ingredients fills it up) and that serves 50 easily at about 8 oz PP.
4 full pans or 6 #10 cans should set you nicely.

YMMV

A #10 can says it serves 24, if I recall. But that is greatly underestimated. We usually put 2 cans in a full pan with sauce, meat and other goodies. I figure we can get 70-80 out of that pan easily.

In Iowa, we had two cold sides along with the beans, we figured 10 cans for 400, but only needed 9. I'd say you should be able to get by with 5 cans easily for 200. Especially if you are loading them up as Keri's beans.

Oh by the way who died and left you in charge?

Going to my room now......Not!

With my bean recipe that came from a firehouse, been through the senior chefs an UNLV, went to several classes and they loved it........1 #10 can of beans will fill 2 half pans, I add my ingrediants and the pans are almost overflowin.

Bubba you have sampled them at Eagle Park the last 2 years.

Yep 10# can says 24 servings on it but, it always seems to be more than what is suggested as a serving size. I say 7-8 cans should do it, for your peace of mind for $12 bucks!

I thought that you Michigan guys always put sumthin' "Maple" in the beans?

My experience as a chuck wagon cook only allows me to use dry beans----so my bean arithmetic experience is of no help with "cans"

Someday I will have to taste your bean concoction, if no one is looking. A chuck wagon cook eating canned beans is kinda like a "Hell's Angel" riding a Moped

8 oz pp, seems pretty high, a lot of people are not real bean fans. I think a 10 can is what, 7 poundish? 4 oz pp...feed 28 out of a can, 7 cans should be about right. Scott

Yeah, but you and Randy cooked ALL of the meat using pellets..... I understand why people would be filling up on all of the quality meat available, and going easy on the beans
