hi,
i was just wondering if a 24” X 72” stick burner can get to 350 degrees with a offset firebox. if so, how long does it take?

thanks all

Yep, my buddy at a comp last year wasn't paying attention to his big offset stick burner and temps got to about 450:eek::eek::eek: That sucker was was throwing off hot smoke all over from end to end. The chicken took about 4 minutes for a crispy skin. LOL.

Sure, I can get my stick burner up to well past that. (its the same diameter, just not as long as yours). It all depends on the fire in your firebox. From ambient temp, I'd say I could start a fire and have mine at 350 in an hour, maybe an hour and a half at the most.

Mine gets upwards of 450 with the primary vents wide open. This is a must temp for those 20 lbs shoulder clods if you want Prime Rib quality beef out of a clod.

Now with a certain temperature control device that went haywire... it once went up to 575 and possibly higher had I not noticed it. Enough to warp my firebox.

With enough wood you could probably melt the pit! It'll do fine.
