Thanks Keith, that's awesome!

If I build a 55 gallon stainless steel drum smoker, I definitely want the BP fire basket/nest hook--to me that's the best part of the entire kit. To be able to smoke/sear with the same fire basket is so useful.

Seems like you should be able to lift that fire basket with the nest hook without removing the top grate? Can't you move chicken to the side and slip the nest hook in between the rails of the cooking grate?

Nope i've tried, the handle sits off to the side....it's easiest to just pull the grate, lift the basket up and then replace the grate.
