Has anyone tried this before? Is it sweet or savory?

Savory, salty, definitely not sweet. And it has MSG.
It is pretty good though.

We just had the Chris Lilly Mephis Dry rub. It is sweet. Best I ever made. It is now my favorite go to rub.

Yup still got a big old plastic jar of it. I haven't thrown it out yet, just hate wasting food items. But can't think of anyone that would love a super salty rub.

Simply Marvelous, The Rub Co and Big Rons make some great sweet rubs.

In the past Plowboys yardbird was my go to rub, but the last few containers of it I have bought seemed a bit to salty for me. Even in judges comments at a contest I did in Storm Lake Iowa that was a comment I got from a judge on ribs..too salty, and I only used Plowboys Yardbird and no other seasoning or rub.

Don't forget to check out www.oakridgebbq.com and order up the sample pack for $3.75. All the rubs are sweet with the exception of the Santa Maria rub. Not only are they sweet they are savory and have a the slightest tinge of heat. They will make your mouth dance with happiness!!! The very best discovery I have made since finding the brethren website!
