It started out I was going to do these on the Chargriller and use the Rotisserie. Monsoon season changed my plans, electricity and rain just did not seem like a good mix.

So I went with the backup plan and grilled them on the Egg indirect at 375º. These are my best to date, still not quite right on the seasoning but I nailed the tenderness.

Started with some Costco meat.

Picked a couple with some nice marbling.

Marinaded one in some Soy sauce, EVOO, Pepper and Garlic

Rubbed the other with some seasoning I found some time back, this seasoning is great on Prime Rib BTW.

On the Egg

Few showers so had to add the rain cap.

Did a reverse sear for about 3 minutes.

Pulled at 138º and rested for 10 minutes. Sliced and served on white buns.

Hope you enjoyed the Tips!!! :yo::hungry:

I just noticed you picked those up at Costco. For some reason, the Tri-Tips at our local Costco's just aren't that great, and certainly don't have that nice marbling. Can you send some of those my way? :becky:

Very nicely done Pork Smoker, way to do the beef.

:-D Thanks, I cannot believe no one asked if I flipped or not. For the record, I did not flip but thrice or so and I got to use my Pig Flipper, worked great!

Very nice! How long did you cook indirect on the egg before you did the reverse sear? I'm cooking one on my egg today.

Picked a couple with some nice marbling.

That's an understatement. Wow. There are no way those are choice.
