Question: Is using an Electric Cambro for holding meat against KCBS Rules?
I saw someone had an electric Cambro last weekend at a competition, was curoius if anyone knew if that would be against KCBS rules?
Just for the record, I didn't see if it was plugged in, nor did I see any meat go in or out of it. |

Cool... You could use the heated door to preheat the Cambro, but once the food goes in it would have to be disconnected.

I saw a guy have one at a comp this year. First thing I did was look to see if it was plugged in when he put his food in. It wasn't. I think he did what Ron said. He heated it up and then unplugged it before he placed his meat in.

It's kinda like having a CTO - as long as the gas isn't being used you're good to go.

The PUD offers energy saver rebates on the electric Cambros here in the Pacific Northwet.
