I'm trying to get an idea of how much meat we will need for a back to school barbecue. We have been very lucking and are getting leg quarters and pork butts donated. How much of each should we be looking at for approximately 250 adults?

I usually figure 1/2 lb of butt per adult and you'd probably be good with 1 leg qtr chicken per adult too.
Now......I'm a complete rook at the big cooks, too. Only done a couple of times.
You could probably check in "Catering" thread too, or do a search.
