What a competition! It was our first and we had a blast. It was good to meet some brethren out there too (Smoke n my I's and Butts and Gutts). I look forward to meeting more brethren at future events.
We were pretty happy with our first contest. Missed a call by 1/2 a point in chicken. So close!! And our team actually won the Taster's Choice event which was very cool. We had a lot of support from friends and family that pushed over the top in that event. It's nice to get a W in something our first time out! Congrats Steve on the Backyard Brisket win! I need your secrets as our didn't fair nearly as well........ Overall we had a great time and cannot wait for the next event which looks to be Bikes, Boogie and BBQ in Gastonia, NC.
