A Little Practice
Started this weekend trying to trim up these ribs. They were suspect since my wife’s aunt passed em along to be cooked on the half’s and I think she got em from an individual instead of from the store. Huge beef ribs – I think.
Also a chuck roast in that same pack o meat and then the two butts just like I normally have at contest which was why I was cooking in the first place. I followed the time line exactly just as if I was cooking only replacing Friday with Sat and Sat with Sunday. Ribs didn’t count since they were weird suckers and I couldn’t even find a decent brisket, so it was just the butts and chicken. Best glaze I ever got on butts. KC Masterpiece ain’t too bad but it sure is dark colored. Talk about meaty ribs. Butts were / are awesome. Sure would have been a good cook at a contest. 10 – 13 lbs of royal oak from walmart kept the Plat 3 going for 24 + hours.
