I have a friend with a sandblaster thats the only reason im blasting it otherwise i would be burning it out. To answer your ? It depends on what color liner you have as to how difficult it will be to remove it may take several burns and once burned you will still need to sand or wirebrush the inside to get it all off.. A cup brush on a angle grinder works best and will make quick work of it

Sweet looking build. Be sure to post it on the UDS Photo Gallery when you get it finished.

Love the build! I especially like the adjustable Cooking Grate heights. I am going to implement this into my UDS that I build.

What is on the inside of the drum? Looks like something to hold the grates at different heights? If so can you give me more details? Thanks

Davesfan360 they are for adjusting the grate height or using mutiple grates. They are made outta 1/2 inch wide flat bar with some 3/8 stainless nuts welded to them you can set you spacing however you like i think mine are every 2 inches. I used 2 1/2 inch stainless bolts and cut the heads off for the grates to sit on

Managed too finish up my drum yesterday and season it up with a naked fatty. Ended up having to burn, sand, wirebrush and grind the liner cause the sandblaster I barrowed kept messing up. Lets just say that liner is tough. Here's some pics of the finished product still gotta paint the shelf and put it on but other than that its done

Fantastic job. I really like the adjustable rack idea, and the legs.
