Default Plowboys BBQ Porkapolooza

Just sent out an email to a big list of people announcing our first ever Porkapolooza. Hoping to pre-sell pulled pork by the lb. Minimum is 3 lbs. Special event price is $6.50. This will be mostly pickup but will do some delivery on a limited basis. They can get it hot, cold, or frozen.

With pork butts selling at $.95 from Sam's Club, now is the time. Hope it goes well. If it does, we'll do ribs & brisket another time. Will let you know how it goes and post pictures.

Good luck Todd! Is this going to be a one-day event? Great idea though - if I ever jump into the catering game down the road - this would be a great way to get the word out the new venture.

I imagine, it will be a four day event starting cooking on Thursday and running through Sunday... depending on when people want food. Pickup will be available Friday through Sunday. We'll see what orders we get. I already know that there is interest. We'll go through one case of butts for sure, but I'm hoping to sell a half dozen cases of butts.

Broke into the second case of butts today. So far, looks like I'll go through a case and a half of butts, but we are still getting a few calls. Lots of future interest in doing this again. Many are anxious for brisket and ribs. Probably do a brisket weekend after thanksgiving.

Figure this will cover about half of my first truck payment. If I can do this once a month, it should cover payments on my BBQ trailer when I order it.
