Default High Plains Latin Shenanigans - Quick Vortex cook w/ Pr0n

Discovered that I'd need to feed both me and the munchkin tonight while CINCHOUSE is at Squadron Spouses' Bunco (If you're not familiar, I'm sure it's on the Interwebs).

Hit the local Hispanic Grocery for both lunch (chile relleno burrito w/ frijoles for the win), and some chicken (a couple of big-arsed drumsticks, and some preseasoned pollo adobado). What goes with random chicken better than Elote!?

Grabbed a 6-pack of frozen mini corn ears from the grocery. Threw them on the grill after the first 12 minutes of the cook.

Brought in the chicken, and then "dressed" the Elote with a thin coat of mayo, then cheese, garlic powder, cumin, and chili powder.

Snuggled the Elotes up to the opening in the Vortex, flipping about every 30-40 sec... went for color.

I destroyed the prefab chicken adobado and a couple of mini-Elotes.

Our munchkin devoured half a drumstick and 2 mini-Elotes of her own! (She calls it "pop corn," and is a HUGE fan).

Tajin "sprinkles" are a MUST.

They are. I'll be honest - a member of the Brethren sent this one to me, unexpectedly. It's been a Godsend.

You really do need a Vortex... I hate to be a "walking commercial," but it just works for so many options... direct / indirect. Best darned steak or chicken I've made on the grill.

UUNI firing up tomorrow.

Shroomer Pie - Historical Record - in the works. Perhaps a Flammkuchen (from same post), as well.

Apple w/ Bleu and Honey is probably the fruit/dessert pie of the night... if I was to place a bet.

Looks fantastic! I did some vortex cooking yesterday for a bunch o' wings. Great device!

Love those latin markets & carnecerias! We have a few nearby, one in particular that I've been considrering just starting on one end of it and eating my way to the other end. So much great food, so little time...

Nicely done all around, Marc!
