First Boston Butt on new smoker ~Pron~
Yesterday I decided to do a BB on my smoker. I have done chicken, ABT's and some veggies on it, but I decided to see how a BB would do on it.
Here's the result: I used Chris Lilley's rub recipe that was shared here a while back, except I used Basil instead of oregano (I didn't have any), and I glazed it with SBR Honey BBQ sauce that I thinned with Apple juice and a little extra honey. I used Myron's method for the most part, but I did not inject it - mainly because I couldn't find my syringe. It turned out VERY moist even without injecting and I sauced it with the glaze that was mixed with the drippings. I skimmed the fat off first.... It turned out nice, everyone loved it! I just wish I would have had a picture of the finished product once it was pulled...

Looks pretty good.
Actually, butts really don't need to be injected for moisture. They have plenty of there own. Nice job!
