I was under the impression that the Weber's rotisserie for 22 1/2 kettles would fit the Performer, but Weber's site says it fits all 22 1/2 kettles EXCEPT the Performer. But I seem to recall people saying that they had this combo. What's the proper rotisserie for the Performer?
It's a gift for a friend who's getting a brand new Performer...

Thanks!

I have an older performer (weber platinum model actually) and my model 2290 rotisserie works fine. I would think 22.5" is 22.5"...no matter what the base.

And according to Weber, the one touch Platinum is the other model that the 2290 isn't supposed to fit. Too weird - and it's not like they have another model just for those two kettles. Unless there's something about the newer models....but I ain't seeing it.

I don't have the Weber rotisserie but there are youtube vids showing it in use on Performers.:thumb:

I don't know why it wouldn't work, but if your friends like bling, C&C Grilling Company have a stainless steel Rotisserie Ring that I am pretty sure fits a performer. I recently bought a different blingy ring, the EZ Que, on eBay, and I know it fits my performer. http://www.4thegrill.com/ sells the C&C ring as well as an extra spit if you go the EZ-Que route. The seller I bought mine from probably has an extra ring since I bought two baskets:)

I use mine on my performer all the time with no problems

i think the reason is that it won't fit if you have the lid on the side in the holder. otherwise it works just fine.

Home built rotisserie for the Weber Platinum

I made my own a couple of weeks ago out of the middle section of a 55 gallon drum, a $5 garage sale rotisserie motor and spit, and about 2 hours.

Total cost: $10, maybe.

Did a couple of chickens on it last Sunday.
