Lubbock TX. Easy drive. It’s probably one of the few times we eat out. We use online reviews, local recommendations, Triple D, Texas Monthly. BBQ, Mexican, Catfish, Italian avoiding chains-going for local. Evie Maes, Campisis,Riversmiths, And now Embers Barbecue. Google Texas Monthly Embers BBQ and find the Daniel Vaughn article from 2017 where they were struggling in Levelland. Embers has now moved to Lubbock open on Thursday and Saturday. I was at Embers as they were bringing the food to the cutting table hot off their pit. Excellent bbq. When one of my goals is to avoid flour-sugar-processed foods- bbq And Mexican are solid options. Bbq eat the meats and Mexican leave off rice-chips-tortillas etc. not perfect, but works
