Default Lookin for Rub in all the wrong places

Need some good ideas for a pork butt rub. Looking for one that makes good bark. Thought I would throw it out there.

Base coat Old Bay top with Goya perfect seasoning( Green lid)

If I can't find it in my little podunk grocery store I don't use it. If you need mustard to hold on the rub your using to much rub. I usually unwrap the piece of piggy and plunk him on the grate & slam the door sometimes I use a little salt( being a NC boy you should know how good that is) and once in a while I use a little of a made up rub or the combo I stated earlier. I save the mustard for hot dawgs & cheeseburgers

Probably as many rub recipes as there are members here... LOL

Chris Lilly's Six-Time World Championship Pork Shoulder Rub
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup paprika
1/3 cup garlic salt
1/3 cup kosher salt
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper

Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Other items to add for flavor / heat

1 tbsp. granulated onion powder
1 tbsp. granulated garlic powder
2 tsp. ground mustard
1 tsp. ground white pepper
1 tsp. cayenne (adjust to your liking, you may add more)
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. ancho or chipolte powder
1 tsp. ground celery seed

Um...Yardbird (Plowboys), and anything SM comes to mind. Spicy apple is my favorite pork rub ever!!!! And they are Brethren!
