Need Suggestions On Separating Frozen Twinpack Butts Without Thawing!!!!!
I have a sudden need to cook a single pork butt for Christmas, but the only ones I have are twin packed in the cryo.
Anybody had any luck doing this??? Was thinking about a long brand new sawzall blade. |

A sawzall would work :) You probably won't hit the seam cleanly, but you can probably get close.

Could you put a hacksaw blade in a soap/bleach mixture and use that?

Use A Band Saw ... Or Another Type Of Good saw That you can thru the Thickness of the 2.....
Personally I would Just thaw the whole thing and smoke both pieces .Cuz you know its not going to go to waste !!1 Also youll have twice the cooking them and 3rd the overall cost is low enough ... Cookum Both !!!!

Thanks guys, I actually found a plan B. Plan A was to cook a brisket and a butt. Plan B will be to cook a brisket and a couple of bone in chucks that I found on sale last minute.
But next time I will try all of the above. |
