Default Bacon Salad Bowl

This weekend when my wife and I were discussing what to have to eat, she said she was just in the mood for a salad. Less than enthused, it hit me what I needed to do to set things right.

I made a bacon weave out of the surplus of home made bacon I have around, and flipped it on top of an upside down bowl. Put that on a rack and put it in the oven. Hadn't really thought about pron at that point, was just making lunch. When I took it out of the oven, I thought "damn, that is looking pretty good" so I took a pic.

I let it cool for a bit and removed the bacon from the bowl. The inside where it was in contact with the bowl was kind of off on the color front, so back I put it back in right side up to finish it up and wound up with this.

Lettuce, cheese, and a bit more bacon and I was good to go.

I think I can get used to this salad thing.

She thought I should have been working in the yard instead of farking around with this bowl. But, she had a pretty big grin when she saw it.

Love it! Now, about this "surplus of homemade bacon" problem. I can help!
