Decided to make a couple of longer rib racks. 12" long & 3" high, 1 1/2" spacing. I made each rack so it would hold 3 racks. That's what comes in a pack from Sams.

I already have some Charcoal Companion rib racks. They are too short. The ribs would just curl around in a U-shape, over lapping & touching each other.

I like to use the racks on the UDS when there is not enough room to lay them all flat. This weekend, I'll be cooking two 10 pound pork butts on the bottom rack and 6 racks of baby backs on the top rack.

Nice job. Man Law makes a nice rib rack that I think holds 7 racks. They could be a little longer but they get the job done.

Used the rib rack this last weekend. The 1 1/2" spacing was too narrow for the baby back ribs from Sams. Some of the ribs got stuck in the rack. Next ones I make will have a 2 1/2" spacing. It will also allow better smokey air flow around each rack of ribs.

Very cool. I have wanted longer racks, but sadly have no metal fabrication skills
