Hope everyone got home safely. Had a Great Time. Thanks to the teams who volunteered to help me. Mike Fay AKA Slamdunkpro, and Bob AKA BBQ Bandit. Without them I would not have been there. Mike deserves a trmendous amount of credit for our results. We used his cooker and his techniques. Hads a Great time and learned a lot.

Great time as always and anothee New Holland sausage trophy. Don and my dad had an awesome showing in chefs choice with a top 15 finish. Still in PA today opting not to drive the trailer through the high winds.

Not only did they win Chef's Choice, they scored a 180 on it! Nice job Chip!

George -- you guys always seem to pull out your best at New Holland -- didn't you have a nice run there a few years back? Congrats on the great finish!

One thing that wasn't mentioned -- this was the first time in I think 5 years that Midnight Smokers wasn't GC, which is an absolutely amazing run. To win that many times at any contest, let alone one of the Northeast's premier contests, is one heck of an achievement.

My favorite moment was watching my neighbor jack watch as Sal from smoking gnomes explain how you can tell good smoking wood by licking it. His response when sal walked away was "son, what is wrong with that boy".

Missed having the regular crew at the pub last night. Stupid weather.
 
Clint, ****ing Jack took all my pork and brisket sauce from last week and my rubs for those meats, I better have a thank you on my machine!:p
 
I talked to Damien and the other guys from D&G Real BBQ a handful of times throughout the event. This was only their second comp and they took 10th overall with a couple of walks. The first contest was in Green Lane PA earlier this year and they were 12th overall. Might be an up and comer, real decent guys too. Great event for the Brethren.

I still think you whould have let me beat the wood chuncks with a shovel..
 
First time judging at New Holland. What a terrific event.

I really wished that I could have met up with some of you guys after, especially since I'm thinking of starting to compete in 2012. Bad weather, had to run home before the wife got really mad for abandoning her to Irene!

Chicken was really very sweet across the board. I know that teams go sweet for NE, but this was off the charts. Maybe just luck of the draw. Got a 1/2" thick slice of brisket this contest, that was strange.

Congrats to all who walked and competed. I sure wish I could have had some of that cheesecake!
