That is Norco's patent pending valve design. He calls it the big belly mod, which I must say suits my beer gut quite well Thank for the replies everyone!

I had the pleasure of seeing this cooker up close and personal last nite. Norco has truly outdone himself with this one.
I love the design of the fire box. You will not be disappointed in this cooker HB.

Golf claps for Norco...

I'm to interested in the firebox. How about a side picture and list of parts.

Thanks

Nice looking firebox. I like the shaft in the middle to twiddle the ashes. Plenty of room for the ashes to fall below. Them's some good innovations.

Cool

So you couldn't have had the test run last week when I came to buy your offset? I did some spares and tri-tip chili on your OK. Joe on the 4th, added a second cooking rack as well. Thanks for the smoker HB!

Glad you are enjoying the cooker Bill, sorry you missed out on the virgin cook. Hope to chat more next time our paths cross, I know we were both pressed for time when you picked her up.

Nice looking UDS. Looks like the first cook went off real well. My firebox is similar to yours except I made a real rough looking ash pan for my firebox. Where did you get your ash pan?
